Didn’t Barbra Streisand play a similar character in one of her movies? She became a manager of a prize fighter. I think it was called “The Main Event.” Coincidence?

What an interesting movie!!

Fannie Brice came over much different than I expected. I like her. She photographed well, was slender, vivacious, could be understated, delightful sense of humor and limited the facial eye tricks. She talked naturally in a low key fashion with authority. I could see how she was popular with men and women who liked to laugh, but she didn't overdo it. She just knew the score. Like Gypsy Rose Lee. I was born too late to see her in films, drat! They say she always dressed beautifully. Thank you Geno's House of Rare Films, regardless of how you came into possession of this one.

Watch it. She's good. Fanny didn't sound like Barbra, but had a great voice also.

i remember el brendel as one of the settlers in the epic 1930 western'the big trail',he was good in that and he's just as good in these short films too!😆😆😆😆😆

I hadn't seen this W&W before, and I'm impressed by the production values. And it's got a couple good tunes courtesy of Kahn & Ruby to boot. Glad not all of the risque lines were cut, and I particularly loved the STRANGE INTERLUDE gag. Thanks for the upload!

Talented and personable kids, but what is the point of the youngest one always scratching and poking himself? He does it in all their reels.

Well, they managed to include just about every black stereotype and cliche imaginable in just eleven minutes. The kids were great though.
